Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie has made over $1 Billion at the box office worldwide

Barbie-mania isn't going away anytime soon. The Barbie movie broke box office records when it was released and has continued to sell out at cinemas, with the film recently grossing over $1 billion and still rising. It became the highest-grossing movie of all time by a solo female director but fans are already wondering when it will be available to stream so they can watch it all from the comfort of their own sofa.

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling star alongside an endless list of celebrities including America Ferrara, Will Farrell, Michael Cera and Kate McKinnon in Greta Gerwig's movie about the Mattel doll.

If, like me and for whatever reason you haven’t been able to make it to the cinema - dressed in head to toe pink attire -  just yet then fear not as you will be able to watch the new Barbie movie sooner than you think.

When is Barbie available to buy on digital release?

The official digital release date is September 5 in the US, the UK date has not yet been confirmed. However, thanks to streaming services movies are usually released in the US and UK on the same day - fingers crossed.

The movie is currently available to pre-order on Amazon Prime and we can’t wait to have a full on pink Barbie dance party at home.

When will Barbie be available to stream in the UK?

The film will be available to stream via Max in the US and according to Digital Spy “Max isn't available in the UK, it's not sure what subscription-based streaming service Barbie will end up on, it's likely to get a run on NOW at first.”
