Is your business up to speed with the latest rules and regulations governing the use of your vehicles?

Leading business group Logistics UK is calling on organisations in Scotland which use vehicles like vans or HGVs in their daily work to keep their team briefed when its national conference series for transport managers visits the Macdonald Inchyra, Falkirk on Thursday 28 November.

Transport managers are legally required to keep their professional knowledge up to date and ensure their operations remain compliant, making this a must-attend event for anyone responsible for vehicle fleets. Sponsored by Brigade Electronics, the conference includes a line-up of expert senior industry speakers, including an opportunity to hear direct from Senior Traffic Commissioner Richard Turfitt, who will talk about the TCs’ priorities for the year ahead and how to avoid non-compliance.

The one-day conference will also include a legislative round-up and compliance update, as well as sessions on General Safety Regulation (GSR) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the legal responsibilities of a transport manager, the revision of the Transport Manager CPC syllabus, transport managers in a connected and autonomous world, driver focus: finding and keeping the best, and dealing with fatal incidents and collision investigation – a session by the Metropolitan Police, who were extremely popular speakers at last year’s events.

Kevin Green, Logistics UK’s Director of Policy and Communications, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming delegates from across Scotland to Falkirk for the latest in our hotly anticipated Transport Manager conferences. The event will enable busy transport managers to stay up to date with ever-changing legislation and good practice advice, as well as the very latest industry developments, all delivered in a packed one-day programme.”

Logistics UK’s Transport Manager Conference series is also supported by bronze sponsors BP, r2c, Weightmans, WTW and a host of regional exhibitors.
