Site staff at a leading Gloucestershire new homes provider wore pink recently to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Now, at developments in Cheltenham and Winchcombe.

Bromford’s head of construction, Simon Kershaw, joined the teams at The Fairway and Merret Place developments to commemorate wear it pink (October 18) and Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October).

For more than 20 years, wear it pink has helped to raise over £41million to support those diagnosed with breast cancer, with the aim to, by 2050, ensure those who have the disease live and are supported to live well.

Across the UK this month, people are encouraged to bring their shades of pink into their communities, schools or work places, with fundraising events held nationwide throughout October to help fund vital research and find a cure for all stages of breast cancer.

Simon Kershaw, Head of Construction at Bromford, said: “We’re really pleased to once again be supporting wear it pink in Gloucestershire this year, having supported at our recently-completed, award-winning Cheltenham site in 2023 and another award-winning site in Worcestershire in 2022.

“The site teams at our Merret Place and The Fairway developments thoroughly enjoyed donning their pink PPE for this fantastic cause.

“We’re once again taking part to support those suffering with breast cancer and do our bit to raise awareness.”

Bromford Shared Ownership gives first-time buyers and those who do not currently own a property the opportunity to secure a new build home with Bromford. Homebuyers pay a mortgage on the share they own, and pay rent on the remaining share, meaning only a smaller deposit is required.

Then, when the time is right, buyers can increase their owned share until they own 100 per cent of the home outright.
