Actor Santhosh K Nayar has died at 65 following a road accident, he and his wife Shubhashree were reportedly in a car that collided with a lorry. Tributes have been paid to the star on social media and one fan took to Instagram and wrote: “Rest in peace, sirey 🙏.”
Another fan wrote: “Salute brother 🙏🙏🙏.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor “was rushed to a private hospital, where he reportedly suffered a heart attack while undergoing treatment and later succumbed to his injuries. Shubhashree sustained serious injuries in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment.”
Santhosh K Nayar’s last movie appearance was in the film Bharathnatyam 2: Mohiniyattam, directed by Krishnadas Murali and is the sequel to Bharathanatyam which was released in 2024. According to a synopsis on the film, it is an “upcoming Malayalam dark comedy thriller that blends humour with suspense, following complex characters navigating secrets and emotional conflicts.”
Suressh Gopi, actor and Minister of State for Tourism & Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India Member of Parliament (Thrissur) paid tribute to Santhosh K Nayar on Facebook and wrote:” Santosh was a brother who was always with me on my journey. The void created by the loss of a loved one is beyond words. A tearful farewell to a dear friend... May his soul rest in eternal peace.
