As Buffalo Bills fire head coach Sean McDermott after playoff defeat to Denver Broncos, who is his wife Jamie
After nine years with the Buffalo Bills, their head coach Sean McDermott has been fired.
Buffalo Bills suffered a 33-30 overtime defeat to the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round and following their defeat their quarterback Josh Allen took the blame. Josh Allen said: "It's extremely difficult," said an emotional Allen. "I feel like I let my team-mates down tonight.
"Missed opportunities throughout the game. It's been a long season. I hate how it ended and that's going to stick with me for a long time.
"You can't win with five turnovers. I fumbled twice, threw two picks. When you shoot yourself in the foot like that you don't deserve to win football games.
"Losing that way regardless, losing in the playoffs is not fun. If one or two plays go our way, it's a different story."
Josh Allen is married to American actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld and the couple recently announced they are expecting their first baby. The pair shared the same video in a joint Instagram post and Josh Allen wrote: "I love you ❤️,” on the clip. The couple wed in a garden ceremony in California in late May 2025 .
In an interview shared by ESPN Originals this month, Josh Allen said: "My wife is an unbelievable, undeniable rockstar in her work and in her life as a person," and also added that "She's everything that I need in my life."

Sean McDermott is married to Jamie,and the couple have three children, Maddie, Gavin and Kelly. Their oldest daughter was born with a severe nut and tree nut allergy and their son has a sesame allergy.
Sean McDermott has previously spoken about this on the Buffalo Bills blog and said: "We've experienced now firsthand having to use the EpiPen when foods that my daughter is allergic to have been consumed, and it's not fun, I can promise you that.”
He also said: "… As we go back to school, people need to be aware of these underlying conditions. Also, for people in particular who aren't affected to be conscientious of those kids in those rooms that are affected by this because these are severe and, in some cases, possibly deadly situations."
He went on to say that "Education is key," and added that "Awareness is key. And again, just being able to be aware of those kids that don't have those EpiPens and how severe this can be if they don't have the resources to help them if they get in a bad situation because they've been exposed to what they're allergic to.”
