Britney Spears has finally reached a divorce settlement with her third husband, Sam Asghari, over a year after he filed for dissolution of marriage just 14 months into their union. According to TMZ, the Toxic hitmaker and the Black Monday actor are awaiting the judge’s approval of their final divorce documents.
The Iranian fitness model and actor said in court documents that they were divorcing for irreconcilable reasons, with a date of separation of July 28, 2023. In addition, he requested spousal support and that Spears covered his legal costs.

The publication also reported that Britney was going to give Asghari a six-figure cheque and that she was also paying his rent at his new bachelor home. However, both of these details are still unknown.
After filing for divorce, Asghari said in a statement shared via an Instagram story, "After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. S--- happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful."
Spears, days later, shared a lengthy statement to Instagram in which she said: "As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I'm a little shocked but … I'm not here to explain why because its honestly nobody's business !!!"
The former couple met on the set of Spears' "Slumber Party" music video in 2016. They became engaged in September 2021 and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the "...Baby One More Time" singer's Thousand Oaks mansion in June 2022.

In her best-selling memoir from 2023, The Woman In Me, Spears includes a section about Asghari, saying: “I have an appreciation for how stable he is. I love that he doesn't drink. He's a gift from God.”
Their divorce comes as Spears and her father reached a settlement over her conservatorship, avoiding what could have been a long trial that was scheduled to start later this month.
