Channing Tatum says 'this challenge is going to be hard' as he shares photo from hospital bed after surgery

Hollywood actor Channing Tatum has shared a photo of himself wearing a hospital gown and lying in a hospital bed, telling fans he’s facing a ‘challenge’.

The 45-year-old star shared the black and white image to his social media this morning.

In the caption, he wrote: “Just another day. Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it in.”

He did not reveal the reason for his hospital stay on his main grid, however, he shared two photos to his Stories which gave the cause. The first photo was of an x-ray of his shoulder, which had the words “separated shoulder” writen over it. The second was of an x-ray which showed a screw clearly in his shoulder. Over the top, he wrote “screwed shoulder. Yay.”

Many fans wrote messages of support on his Instagram post. “Hope you are okay. Sending you love & positive vibes,” one said. Another said: “I'm sorry about what happened, I hope it's not serious.” A third said: “You got this. Overcoming obstacles is your superpower. Sending you so much love and thinking of you always. Speedy recovery.”

The Magic Mike actor did not reveal any other details such as how long he will be in hospital for, and how long his recovery will be.

The actor previously said in September that he had been injured while filming Avengers: Doomsday, which was filmed last year and due out in cinemas this December. But, it is not clear whether his surgery is connected to that injury, or if it something else entirely.

Prior to sharing his surgery photo, the star last posted to his social media page 10 days ago, where he shared pictures from Magic Mike Live, the stage version based on the hit film where Tatum played a male stripper.

Dad-of-one Tatum is dating Australian model Inka Williams, 26, who is almost 20 years his junior. He shares his 12-year-old daughter Everly with ex-wife Jenna Dewan, who he met on the set of 2006 film Step Up.
