Is Andrew Marr okay? Listeners thought LBC presenter 'needs a medic' after hearing latest radio show
LBC listeners were worried about Andrew Marr earlier this week - when he appeared to sound out of breath.
The veteran journalist, 66, was presenting his evening radio show on December 11, when he began talking about the Global Player Awards.
During this segment, Marr’s speaking pace picked up and he sounded short of breath. Listeners quickly posted online, saying he didn’t sound well. One wrote that “he needs a medic,” while another said it sounded like a panic attack.

Others noted that Marr returned to normal a few minutes later.
The show is not available to listen back to on catch-up, but some clips have been circulating on social media.
He finished the programme and is expected to be back on air on Monday, December 15.
Marr has previously spoken about the stroke he suffered in 2013, caused by a torn carotid artery. It left his left side temporarily paralysed, and doctors initially feared he might not survive.
In a 2023 interview with the Guardian, Marr said he feels fortunate to have had a good decade of recovery - but still lives with lasting effects.
He said: “I’ve had an incredibly good decade since my stroke, given at the time my wife was told I might not make it, then that I might need a wheelchair and be unable to communicate.
“I’ve been largely vertical and communicating for the past 10 years. It’s been pretty good, though I’ve still got deficits: I’m hemiplegic, my left arm really doesn’t work much, my left leg only works a bit, I walk in a sort of jerky way.
“I can’t do my laces. I can’t cycle. I can’t run. I can’t swim. But I focus on what I can do, which includes painting and drawing, and I try to walk five miles a day.”
