The Naked Chef, Jamie Oliver, is selling off three of his classic cars at an auction this month.

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is swapping classic cuisine for classic cars at a sale this month. The Naked Chef star is set to see three of his classic motors go under the hammer for what he hopes will be lovely jubbly prices.

The 49-year-old is set to sell off an eye-catching collection that includes a Ford Capri, a VW Beetle and a Fiat. The 1970 Ford Capri 3000GT is described as the "go-to" transport by the car-mad cook, having made several appearances on Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Feast.

Essex-born Jamie got hold of the classic sports car in June 2014 and restored it in line with its original specification at a cost of around £20,000. It has an estimate of between £22,000 and £26,000.

An altogether less flashy jam jar is Jamie's 1955 FIAT 1100/103 Series, bought in 2012 with, fittingly, the original number plate 677 YUM. It is offered without a reserve price. His third lot in the sale, set to be held by Classic Car Auctions on September 28 at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, is a 1967 VW Beetle 1500 convertible.

And as if the car is not quirky enough, it comes with a bespoke trailer, modified to take an ice-cream fridge and condenser and designed to offer a platform for dispensing ice cream at events. The tasty car and trailer combo are estimated at between £22,000 and £26,000.

The vehicles will be offered at Classic Car Auctions' sale on September 28 at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
