Lorna Luxe: Influencer says 'we're taking each day as it comes' as she gives update on husband who's battling organ failure and cancer
An influencer whose husband is battling both organ failure and cancer has given an update on his health.
Lorna Luxe told her followers over the weekend that her husband of almost two decades, John, is in intensive care with organ failure - amid a battle with cancer.
John, aged 64, now has with stage four adrenal cancer after first being diagnosed with stage three of the disease in April 2023. He went into remission in early 2024 but in May of that year Lorna revealed his cancer had returned to his adrenal gland and had moved to his brain as well.
A few days ago 43 year old Lorna, who has been married to John for 16 years, told her followers that he had organ failure and was in intensive care in hospital. The latest update came weeks after she said he had undergone surgery to remove a tumour on his brain.
Alongside a video of the pair in happier times, smiling and kissing, she wrote on Friday (December 19): “My man is back in hospital… and while we’re both putting a brave face on it, this past few days haven’t been easy. A complication with his chemo left him with organ failure and two days ago the intensive care team were preparing me for the worse. But John isn’t the average patient and he’s somehow defied the odds, showing improvement every step of the way.”
John commented on the post and said: “To the woman whose the air that I breathe and has been since the first day we met… you , quite literally are and always have been my world.”
Now, Lorna has given an update on her husband’s health. Sharing a photo of John in happier times on her Instagram Stories, she wrote last night (Sunday December 21): “John’s still in hospital. He’s doing really well and his condition is stable. We’re taking each day as it comes.”
Addressing her 1.6 million fans directly, she added: “Thanks ever so much for all the kindness you have shown us this week, I’ve really needed it.”
