Mike Vrabel wife: Who is he married to as coach is set to undergo counselling amid Diannna Russini photos
New England Patriots Head Coach Mike Vrabel will miss Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft.
On April 8, 2026 NationalWorld reported that New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel responded to photos published that appear to show him and the then New York Times NFL reporter Dianna Russini with their fingers interlocked at the Ambiente resort in Sedona, Arizona.
Mike Vrabel told Page Six that “These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable. This doesn’t deserve any further response.”
On April 16, Dianna Russini resigned from her post and said in a statement that "I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published.”
At a recent press conference, Mike Vrabel said: "Thank you for your patience that you've shown in a personal and private matter for me and obviously everybody involved.”
"I know that that's not easy for you and I respect that and I appreciate your efforts in doing so.
"I understand I could have addressed you guys sooner, but it was important to me to have a conversation with the players, which I did yesterday very candidly as we began our off season program, which everyone is excited to be a part of.
"It was never my intention to have them speak to you, or address you before I did. And so I asked them to come today and talk with you.

"I also don't want to take away from the weekend of the draft. This is an important time for us, our organization, and the excitement and the joy that those players are gonna have that we bring onto our football team.
They're starting an amazing journey, one that should be celebrated as we welcome them onto our team.
"With that being said, I've had some difficult conversations with people that I care about, with my family, the organization, the coaches, the players, those have been positive and productive.
"We believe in order to be successful on and off the field, you have to make good decisions. That includes me. That starts with me.
"And those are comments and questions that I've answered for the team and with the team, we'll keep those private and to ourselves.
"I care deeply about this football team, and I'm excited to coach them. I also know that I'm gonna attack each day with humility and focus.
"What I can promise you is that my family, this organization, the team, the staff, the coaches, everybody, our fans most importantly, will get the best version of me going forward.
"That's what I know, and I'm excited to do that. I wanted to just address this and thank you for your patience in dealing with the private and personal matter."
Mike Vrabel has now revealed that he will not be with his players for Day Three of the NFL Draft and said: ""As I said the other day, I promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them. In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend.”
He also said: "This is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them.I have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be. This is not an easy thing for me to admit, but it is one that I know will make me a better person. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me and promise a stronger resolve as a result."
Who is Mike Vrabel’s wife, do they have kids?
Mike Vrabel is married to Jen and they met at Ohio State University. The couple married in 1999 and reportedly celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2024 by going on a trip to Italy.
Mike and Jen share two sons together: Tyler and Carter. During a press conference in 2018, he said: “I want to thank my wife Jen (Vrabel), my boys Tyler (Vrabel) and Carter (Vrabel). It's not easy supporting boys that love football and dads that coach and play football.
“They've been around the NFL locker room since they've been born. I'm not proud to say this, but I'm just going to tell you about my wife. She gave birth to Carter, I missed it, I was at practice, she was in Ohio. He came early, he flipped, they had to take her.
“I showed up four hours late because I was playing football and she was having a baby. I love her to death. She's been through a lot and she understands this league. She challenged me to get into the NFL after spending some time at Ohio State.
“I'd like to thank my parents. They raised an only child that had everything he wanted. My dad instilled toughness and teamwork and the value of teamwork and being self motivated, so I thank him. I think he's proud. With that, I'll take any questions. I'd love to talk about our team, talk about our vision, where we're going, and go from there.”
