Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi secretly married last weekend, it has been reported. Close friends of the couple, who got engaged 14 months ago, shared that Millie, 20, and Jake, 22, had their wedding in the US. Jake's rock star father, Jon, and Millie's parents were present at the ceremony.

A source told The Sun: "Millie and Jake quietly said their vows in America last weekend." They are planning a larger ceremony in the US later this year but have now legally married and completed all the necessary paperwork, the source said, adding that the wedding “was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows.”

This isn't the first time celebrities have opted for two wedding ceremonies. Justin and Hailey Bieber first wed at a New York courthouse in 2018 before hosting a larger celebration the following year. Similarly, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck married in Las Vegas in July 2022 and had a grand second event in Atlanta a month later.

The Stranger Things actress and Jake, who is a model, began dating in 2021 and got engaged last spring. They have kept their fans updated on their wedding plans over the past year. After Jake proposed by hiding a ring inside a shell during a scuba dive, Millie shared that they had been planning their big day together, a departure from the usual bridal experience.

Reflecting on the planning process, she said: "I have loved every second of it. It’s been really an unbelievable journey. Every time we have a new wedding meeting, Jake and I take a picture to capture the moment of the planning process. He’s loving every second of it. I haven’t been met with a stressful time yet, and I think that’s just a reflection on how ready and excited we are to do it.”

Millie also revealed that Shania Twain’s "Man, I Feel Like A Woman" was on their wedding reception playlist.
