What happened to Christina Annesley?
In 2015, 23-year-old British political activist Chrissie Annesley travelled to the paradise island of Koh Tao for the trip of a lifetime.
She had planned a four-month holiday travelling across South-East Asia, where she would visit Vietnam, Cambodia and then on to Australia and New Zealand, but less than two weeks later, she was found dead in a beach hut.
In the days leading up to her death, Christina posted on Twitter saying she had bought antibiotics for a chest infection and is said to have died of natural causes after mixing them with alcohol.
However, no toxicology report was conducted.

Her father, Boyne Annesley, previously said: “I don’t believe we’ll ever find out what happened to her.
“You can’t get proof because the authorities are corrupt.”
Why is Koh Tao notorious for deaths?
Since January 1, 2014, there have been at least six deaths on the island of Koh Tao on the Gulf of Thailand, giving it the name Death Island’.
Back in 2014, backpackers Hannah Witheridge, 23, and 24-year-old David Miller were found murdered on Koh Tao where Ben Harrington, a 32-year-old British IT consultant who died on the island in 2012, had stayed.

Christina Annesley’s body was found a few months later on the same beach.
Other suspicious deaths of Britons on Koh Tao include Nick Pearson, 25, whose body was found in the sea after he disappeared on a night out in 2014, and Luke Miller, 26, who was found dead at the bottom of a pool in 2016.
