Channel 5’s new mini series, Compulsion, follows the drama of a paramedic with an addiction.
The four-part series follows a paramedic who is trying to cope with PTSD after a fatal accident.

The mini series was filmed in Liverpool, back in 2021 - and has an all-star cast.
The thriller was written and created by Sarah Deane, and directed by Noreen Kershaw.

What is Channel 5’s Compulsion about?
Channel 5’s new drama, Compulsion, follows a paramedic and mum, Jenny Challoner (Leanne Best).

After a fatal train crash, Jenny suffers with PTSD and as she tries to cope, she develops a gambling addiction.
She begins to hide her suffering from her husband Chris (Danny Ashok), best friend Alison (Krissi Bohn), and daughter Rosie (Amaya Faizy).
When Jenny returns to her work as a paramedic, she has a public meltdown - but is helped by a stranger, Sasha (Anna Chancellor).
Sasha creates a bond and shares her secrets with Jenny, however she has an agenda of her own.

The one-hour episode will start at 9pm.
The four-part mini series will air nightly at 9pm, until Friday 15 April.

Who is in the cast of Compulsion?
Leanne Best plays protagonist Jenny Challoner.

Speaking about her lead role in Compulsion, she told whattowatch.com: "She’s a pretty confident paramedic and mum, until a tragic incident happens, which triggers a set of post trauma-related behaviours that start to have a really negative affect on her personal life.
"At its heart, the story explores the universal themes of friendship, family, love, loss and trauma and what happens to ordinary people who are struggling in extraordinary circumstances."
Anna Chancellor plays Sasha, a stranger who offers to help Jenny.

Chancellor rose to fame as Duck Face in Four Weddings And A Funeral.
After that, she became well known for dramas such as BritBox’s Hotel Portofino, BBC’s The Split, and HBO’s Pennyworth.

Hayley Mills plays loan shark Connie Bertram, who holds Jenny’s fate in her hands.
Mills was a Disney child star in the 60s, appearing in Pollyanna, The Parent Trap, and That Darn Cat.
More recently, Mills starred in BBC1’s Moving On and also appeared in Sky movie Last Train To Christmas.
Danny Ashok is Jenny’s husband, Chris. The pair have a daughter, Rosie (Amaya Faizy).

Ashok is from other dramas such as Sky’s Cobra and BBC’s Strike and Roadkill.
Krissi Bohn plays Jenny’s best friend, Alison - also known as Ali.

Bohn is best known for her role as Jenna Kamara in Coronation Street from 2012 to 2014.
She recently starred in ITV’s hit drama, Innocent.
Jackie (Yennis Cheung), Rena, (Florance Dobson), Raj (Ben Tavassoli) and Kylie (Olivia Fenton) are also paramedics, alongside Jenny.
