It was just over a week ago that Ariana Grande split from her husband Dalton Gomez after two years of marriage. After being spotted at Wimbledon with ‘Wicked’ co-star Johnathan Bailey and without her wedding ring, sources claimed that the pair have been separated since January 2023.
Within days the popstar, 30, appeared to have quickly moved on after it was revealed she is now ‘dating’ Wicked co-star Ethan Slater. The actor reportedly informed his wife Lilly Jay that he was done with their marriage shortly before the news of his relationship with Ariana went public.

However, a separate source claims they “were separated when they started dating and the relationship is recent. It’s understandable that it's difficult to see an ex move on, especially in such a public way, and they are trying to be as respectful as possible.”
Ethan and Lilly were high school sweethearts and celebrated 10 years of being together a month before he started filming Wicked. They welcomed their son in 2022 and Ethan shared a gushing Mother’s Day post on Instagram in May - which Ariana ‘liked’. He has since made his account private.
The former couple had reportedly been dating since 2012. When Ethan was starring in the "Spongebob Squarepants" musical on Broadway the pair were engaged. Ethan and Lily married in 2018, whilst she was studying Psychology for five years and got her degree in 2020. They welcomed their son in 2022.
Sources claim Ariana and Ethan "weren’t careful. They’d hold hands on set in between takes. They were sloppy and not hiding it.”
