Are Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber getting more serious? A relationship timeline of the Bafta winner and model

While Elvis ‘couldn’t help falling in love’, it has seemingly rubbed off on actor Austin Butler who takes on the role of the King of Rock n Roll in his biopic, as Austin is potentially getting more serious with girlfriend, Kaia Gerber.

The pair were first linked in December 2021 when they were seen attending a yoga class together, shortly after model Kaia had split with her boyfriend Jacob Elordi.

News circulated that the newly-awarded Bafta and Golden Globe winner and Cindy Crawford’s daughter had started dating in late 2021, but it ‘was very new’.

However, just five months later Kaia and Austin made their relationship red carpet official as they attended the 2022 Met Gala together, celebrating ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’ in style, alongside the late Lisa Marie Presley and family.

As mentioned, Kaia initially had a high-profile relationship with Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi before making it official with Austin, however the latter also was in the spotlight with his previous relationship with Vanessa Hudgens.

Kaia and Jacob split in November 2021, one month before rumours started floating around Austin’s connection with the model. 

The pair then reportedly spent the holidays together and even celebrated Valentine’s Day after Kaia opened up about ‘re-evaluating her life’ following the pandemic.

She said: “I think, it's so important people are realising how important their happiness is outside of work, when you don't have all these outside resources to gain happiness from, where that internal happiness comes from.”

The Disney Channel alum and Kaia then cemented their status as a model couple when they attended the Met Gala in 2022 when Austin donned a handsome Prada suit and Kaia wore an Alexander McQueen metallic gown, and travelled to the City of Love for Paris Fashion Week.

As Austin Butler’s Elvis started to premiere at film festivals, Kaia was seen supporting her partner at not only the Cannes Film Festival, but also a NYC premiere. 

From film festivals to awards season, Kaia continued to stay by the Bafta and Golden Globe winning actor’s side as they were photographed sharing kisses and holding hands.

Most recently, the model couple returned to W Magazine’s Best Performance Party looking as loved up as ever.
