Margot Robbie stars in Barbie movie but is it coming to Disney+?

It is the most anticipated film of the summer and yes 'This Barbie' is a little bit excited. Margot Robbie will star as the titular character alongside Ryan Gosling as Ken in the film directed by Greta Gerwig. 

But that’s not all. The teaser trailers for the movie have shown that there will be multiple Barbies and Kens with a huge cast of celebrities including Will Ferrell, Emma Macey, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Michael Cera and Kate McKinnon. And that’s only just scratching the surface of the who’s who in the film. 

The world has gone Barbie-mad. The Australian actress has been taking style inspiration from the Barbie doll herself. With all sorts of brands hopping on the Barbiecore trend are releasing some sort of pink-inspired product. The handbag brand Fiorelli brought out Gaia Shoulder Bag in Hot Pink and makeup company Pearl Beauty launched their Girl Next Door - Multi Purpose Lip & Face Stick. Even Ryan has even been spotted wearing the new Barbie pink-inspired TAG Heuer’s Carrera Date watch. 

You can even stay at Barbie's pink dream house for free with Airbnb which is being hosted by Ken. Even rap megastars Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice have caught the Barbie bug after they rapped over the Aqua hit ‘Barbie Girl’ for the official Barbie Soundtrack.

But of course with cinema on the way out and streaming platforms taking over we are all wondering whether or not we can watch the new Barbie movie from the comfort of our plush pink sofa whilst we drink our pink gin.

Is the Barbie movie coming to Disney+? 

The Barbie film is set for worldwide release date 21 July by Warner Bros Pictures. According to What’s on Disney+ “since Warner Brothers Pictures are distributing it, it will be released on Max in the United States and on several different platforms internationally, but unfortunately, Disney+ won’t be one of them.”

Is the Barbie movie coming to Netflix? 

There is no official word about the Barbie movie coming to streaming platform Netflix but they do have a range of Barbie animated films to get you in the mood. Including ‘Barbie Princess Adventure’, ‘Barbie Dolphin Magic’ and ‘Barbie Dream House Adventures’. 

The official Barbie movie will be in cinemas worldwide from 21 July
