Brendan Fraser is the comeback king after Critics Choice Awards win while Chelsea Handler takes aim at Prince Harry

January is certainly not a quiet month in terms of show business, and only seems to become busier as the weeks progress. Awards season is definitely in full swing and actor Brendan Fraser goes to the top of PeopleWorld’s hot list today after winning best actor at the Critics Choice Awards.

Brendan Fraser was quite rightly very emotional when he picked up the award for his performance in The Whale. “I was in the wilderness. And I probably should have left a trail of breadcrumbs. But you found me,” were the words he used to address the director of the film, Darren Aronofsky.

Next up today on PeopleWorld’s hot list is another winner at the Critics Choice Awards, Cate Blanchett. Although I was less than keen on Cate’s outfit, I was very impressed with her acceptance speech (although perhaps she should have left off with the swearing!). She hit out at the ‘patriarchal pyramid’ and revealed that she had been inspired by all the nominees, as well as “every single woman in television, film, advertising, tampon commercials.”

Last up today is Selena Gomez who has hit back at body-shamers after her recent red carpet appearance at the Golden Globes 2023. Selena is not the first star who has retaliated against body-shamers and follows in the footsteps of the likes of Billie Eilish, Lizzo and Ariana Grande. I am delighted that she challenges those who choose to body shame celebrities and I hope she encourages others to do the same.

Now onto PeopleWorld’s not so hot list…

First up is Prince Harry who has made more than a few appearances on PeopleWorld’s hot and not so hot list recently. Chelsea Handler, the host of the 2023 Critics Choice Awards, couldn’t resist the opportunity to poke fun at Prince Harry and his ‘frostbitten penis.’

From Prince Harry to Ekin-Su, two names that one doesn’t automatically expect to see alongside one another. Ekin-Su is ‘not so hot’ today as she already faces the dreaded skate off in Dancing On Ice after only her first appearance! Oh dear Ekin-Su, perhaps ice skating is not your forte?

The last person gracing our not so hot list is Chelsea manager Graham Potter. It was all looking good for the former Brighton manager when was appointed at Chelsea. Not only did it appear that he had opted for a ‘glow up’ in terms of his hairstyle and clothes, but there were high hopes for a change in Chelsea’s fortune for the better.

Not only has Chelsea’s form continued to dip, but so has Graham’s appearance. He is looking less than ‘hot’ at the moment and it appears that Chelsea’s football woes on the pitch are reflecting on Graham Potter's body language and overall style.
