Captain America’s Chris Evans Marvels at title of People’s 2022 Sexiest Man Alive as he takes crown from co-star Paul Rudd

While Chris Evans is no longer Captain America, he embraces a new title as People’s 2022 Sexiest Man Alive as the magazine announced his selection on Monday night.
The 41-year-old actor who has played Captain America for over a decade, follows in the footsteps of six previous Marvel winners including last year’s front runner Paul Rudd, and others such as Chris Hemsworth and Ryan Reynolds.

Hide AdThe Knives Out star shared his excitement to be the Sexiest Man as Stephen Colbert informed the Boston-born actor about the news on his late-night show.
Although he was not at the talk show in person, cameras cut to Chris Evans on the set of his upcoming movie Red One with co-star and previous Sexiest Man Alive Dwayne Johnson, who won the prestige in 2016.
Chris was bestowed with the title and a black sash that read Sexiest Man Alive before Dwayne quipped that he “never give up the title.”
Chris said: “Means a lot coming from a former Sexiest Man Alive…you know, thanks for the support. As a former Sexiest Man Alive, it means a lot.”

Hide AdTo which Dwayne responded: “I never give up the title…I’m Sexiest Man Alive in perpetuity, which means for life. Let me ask you a question, brother. Am I alive? Am I still sexy? You bet your sexy mouth I am.”
Chris concluded the video by stating the pair will share the title before telling viewers to vote in the midterm elections that took place on Tuesday, 8 November.
Despite being awarded the sash by The Rock, Chris Evans spoke about being named the Sexiest Man Alive with People magazine ahead of the feature.
People have been naming the Sexiest Man Alive since February 1985 when 25-year-old Mel Gibson was the preliminary recipient.

Hide AdChris told People magazine: “My [Mum] will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.
“This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about. It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.”
The Gray Man actor continued: “Really this will just be a point of bullying. It’s ripe for harassment.”
