Having a 'Best Actress' nomination will mean all eyes are on you as you attend an awards ceremony and many ensure they make a point with their choice of clothing.

Opting for a necklace from Louis Vuitton, which was apt as she was named their newest house ambassador in 2022, Cate Blanchett was turning heads at the BAFTAs 2023.

She wore a reworked version of a black gown by Maison Margiela, a dress she first wore to the Oscars in 2015.

The actress won the BAFTA and made an emotional speech in which she thanked her family for letting her go for the filming which took a lot of time and energy from her.

The 53-year-old actor thanked the Tar producers for “holding their nerve” in making the film. Blanchett plays the role of conductor Lydia Tar, who is a complicated genius facing misconduct accusations in the film.

"So thank you to BAFTA for recognising all of us, we sit in dialogue with one another."

She also thanked Universal Pictures-based Focus Features "for being such extraordinary partners (as) this was a very dangerous and career-ending, potentially, undertaking, and so thanks for holding the nerve."
