Daniel Radcliffe is having a baby - who is his partner Erin Darke? Here’s everything you need to know

Not to make you feel old but Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe is going to be a daddy. The actor and long term partner Erin Darke are expecting their first child together. A source close to the private couple confirmed the news to the Mirror: “Daniel and Erin could not be happier to be expecting. They are absolutely thrilled, and can’t wait to become a family of three.

They told their families and friends recently. It’s an incredibly exciting time.” The parents-to-be have been dating since 2013 after meeting on the set of ‘Kill Your Darlings’.

Daniel Radcliffe shot to fame at the age of 12 when he starred as Harry Potter in the film franchise based on the books by JK Rowling. Alongside Emma Watson and Rupert Grint who played Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Rupert welcomed his first child, daughter Wednesday with girlfriend Georgi Groome in May 2020.

But who is his girlfriend Erin and what is she famous for? 

You may be surprised to know that Erin is an American actress with a fair few titles under her belt. She is best known for her role as Cindy in the TV series Good Girls Revolt, Mary in The Marvellous Mrs Maisel and Leeta in Dietland. Erin has also appeared in the films Love & Mercy, Beside Still Waters, Still Alice, and Kill your Darlings where the couple first met. 

In an interview with Parade Daniel said: “[We] just got on immediately. It was one of those instant things where you’re like, ‘Oh, I really like this person.’ You just have a connection with somebody, and then suddenly it’s incredibly easy to talk to them. It was one of those sort of situations.”

The actor previously dated Irish actress Laura O’Toole who he met during West End stage play Equus and crew member Rosie Coker who he met on the set of Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part II. The actor was also linked to Alana Dawes and crew member Olive Uniacke.
