What kind of grandma will the movie legend Demi Moore be to her future grandchild?

Demi Moore has smashed the box office over the years with her many iconic roles such as in the film Ghost (1990) and A Few Good Men (1992).

And now she is to take on a different role. The role of grandmother is to finally be her next and life-long part as her oldest child, actress Rumer Willis (34), is pregnant with her first child with Derek Richard Thomas (36). Rumer is the oldest child of Demi Moore, 60, and Bruce Willis, 67.

The couple made the happy announcement last week, just before Christmas, by posting a series of images that showed the indie musician resting his head on Rumer's stomach, looking elated.

Demi Moore posted the same images on her Instagram and captioned: 'Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era.'

Demi went on to post a picture from her daughter's sonogram appointment.

The Ghost star posed with one of her many small dogs and her two other Willis daughters – Tallulah, 28, and Scout, 31 – while Rumer lay on an examination chair with her belly exposed.

Bruce Willis and his second wife Emma Heming, 44, also shared a sweet post on Instagram, writing: 'Baby news is happy news!!! Congratulations @rumerwillis and @derekrichardthomas we are elated over here!'

The Die Hard action icon has been going through a difficult struggle with aphasia, a brain disorder that affects an individual's ability to speak and understand language. Bruce's family went public with his diagnosis in March of this year and announced his retirement from acting.

Will Demi be the kooky grandmother she says he might be?

The mother of three wrote that she had developed a new gratitude for everything she passed through when she was at the peak of her career in Hollywood – a condition that came up as a result of her writing her memoir, 'Inside Out.'

She wrote an essay with Instyle magazine in 2019 with a hilarious statement which compared her 1994 feature cover with the recent one. The statement read: "How I'd describe myself in three words: In 1994 – Chubby, Chubby, Chubby (But in all fairness, I had just had a baby.) Today – Quirky, Eccentric, Happy".

Her eccentricities include lavish bathroom design and posing in matching onesies during the pandemic with her daughters and ex-husband Bruce Willis.

We think Demi has taken self-care and worked through some demons, including alcoholism and her heartbreak over the divorce to her third husband, the actor Ashton Kutcher.

Contrary to what Demi may believe, she's going to be the sanest grandma there ever has been after a few years of reflection and memoir-writing therapy. Fun-filled and kooky, yes? Unhinged? Never.
