Dogs. They don’t judge. They forgive quickly.
They also don’t care who you are, how much money you have or if you’ll be mentioning them in your latest press junket. Which presumably all adds up to dogs being one of the loveliest things a big Hollywood star could acquire.
Lady Gaga, who played the main character in A Star is Born, famously offered a $500,000 reward for the safe return of her two French bulldogs after thieves stole them and shot the man who walked her dogs. Less than two days later, a woman brought the dogs to the police station, claiming she had found them tied to a pole.

Tom Hardy, of Locke and The Revenant fame, is another movie star who enjoys bringing his dogs to film premieres. Who can blame them? The flashing lights and chaos of many people is an anxiety-inducing nightmare.
Having a pooch by your side for these high-adrenaline moments must make the actors feel at ease.
Dogs are linked with reducing stress levels. Multiple studies show that dogs and therapy dogs help alleviate stress and anxiety.

Aniston has always been a huge dog lover and currently has three: Clyde, Sophie, and Lord Chesterfield. She was also once mum to Norman, a Welsh Corgi who was her constant companion during her time on the hit TV show Friends and died at the age of 15 in 2011, and a white German Shepherd named Dolly who she got after her split with first husband Brad Pitt in 2005.
In October 2020, just over a year after Dolly’s death, Aniston showed off the newest addition to her family, a small puppy she named Lord Chesterfield. In the September 2021 issue of InStyle, the star confessed that the little dog had a huge love of toys:
"Sofie doesn't care about toys. Clyde has an obsession with toys… he buries them all over the property. Then Chesterfield came along, also with the love of toys, and it was war," she said, adding that Lord Chesterfield has ‘rocked our worlds’ since he arrived in 2020.
Jennifer even takes her dogs to photoshoots as she displayed on her Instagram page as recently as last week, November 2022. She received 1.5 million likes and 12,000 comments on her video with her dog, Lord Chesterfield, a white Shepherd mix.

Hide AdGerard Butler, star of Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Aniston, has a shared love of dogs with his fellow actor. He adopted a stray dog when filming in Bulgaria.
“Thankful for a new wee doggie in my life,” Butler wrote on Instagram in November 2017. “She was a stray while I was filming up a mountain in Bulgaria.” Even up in the mountains and miles from home, these two were meant to be. As Butler said, the dog he would eventually rescue, 'stole my heart.'
