Without question, if you are personally involved in any court case, it can be an incredibly stressful affair. Although I am sure this is the case for actress Eva Green, she will certainly be feeling a sense of relief after a judge ruled that she is entitled to her million-dollar fee.
According to The Guardian, “The actor had sued White Lantern Films and SMC Speciality finance for a $1m (£802,000) fee that she said she was owed. However, she faced a counter-claim alleging she pulled out of the making of A Patriot, which collapsed in 2019 and breached her contract.”

After the judgement, Eva Green said the following: “I am proud that I stood up against their bully boy tactics.” Eva Green then went on to say that, “I found myself misrepresented, quoted out of context and my desire to make the best possible film was made to look like female hysteria. It was cruel and it was untrue.”
Don’t get me started on the words ‘female hysteria,’ which I believe is a term that is unfortunately often bandied around far too often in an attempt to diminish ‘strong women’ when their arguments are incredibly valid.
Although I am sure Eva Green would undoubtedly argue that the court case was more about the principle of proving she was right than the fee involved, Eva will hopefully be soon $1m richer.

Eva’s next project is the thriller Dirty Angels (alongside Ruby Rose), and filming locations are believed to include Morocco and Greece. According to The Daily Mail, “The story-written by Alissa Silverman- is a fictional tale set against the true backdrop of the United States withdrawing military forces from Afghanistan in 2021.”
