Non-league football could be welcoming some high profile owners shortly as grime artist Stormzy announces his decision to make a move for his childhood hometown club AFC Croydon, with two Crystal Palace members.
The 'Hide and Seek' rapper has reportedly exchanged contracts with the south London team's existing owners as part of a three-man consortium including Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha and the team's former head of player care Danny Young.

Hide AdAFC Croydon are currently playing in the ninth-tier of English football, a far cry from Zaha's current place in the Premier League, however the trio will be looking to promote the team next season.


Their vision echoes that of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney who were at the helm when Wrexham FC were promoted to League One.
