As Harrison Ford is set to hang up his fedora and whip for the last time as ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ premieres, all eyes are focused on what the iconic Hollywood actor's next adventure will be…

However, the potentially more important question is what ‘destiny’ awaits Harrison’s latest co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, as the British actress’ star keeps rising following her acting and writing credits for the fifth Indiana Jones movie.

Phoebe, who was born in Ealing, London in 1985, has slowly been breaking into Hollywood as seen by her work on franchises including Daniel Craig’s last James Bond movie ‘No Time To Die’ for which she joined the crew as a writer and now Indiana Jones.

The 37-year-old’s recognition over the pond comes after she established herself on home turf with her hugely successful television show ‘Fleabag’ for which she starred in and wrote, her executive producer role on Killing Eve and her feature in ITV’s Broadchurch.

While Phoebe Waller-Bridge has several other acting credits on her IMDB resume such as Harry Styles’ Treat People With Kindness music video, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Goodbye Christopher Robin, the focus going forwards after Indiana Jones seems to fall on her writing and producing abilities.

What comes next for Phoebe Waller-Bridge?

According to IMDB, Phoebe has two upcoming projects in the works, one as a producer and one as both a writer and producer. The former is an action/comedy TV series called Mr and Mrs Smith that adapts the 2005 film featuring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as married spies, as the latter production is an unnamed project between Waller-Bridge and Amazon Studios.

Phoebe has made around $60 million from Amazon over the past few years after signing a deal with them back in 2019, however she is yet to put out a show. Maybe now that the Dial of Destiny has finished, a Waller-Bridge/Amazon show could be hitting screens in the not too distant future?

It must be noted that although Phoebe is high in demand for her comedic and clever writing and producing skills, the National Theatre actress is not letting go of her acting roles yet as she is set to appear in the 2024 film ‘Imaginary Friends’ alongside Ryan Reynolds, Awkwafina and Sam Rockwell, produced and directed by John Krasinski.

What is next for Harrison Ford?

We must tip our hats to Harrison Ford as he wraps up Indiana Jones after four decades, with the actor saying: “There aren't too many roles that anybody plays for so long. I mean, it's kind of silly, it's 42 years we've been going on with this…and that's exposed me, and this film, and these characters, to a new generation of [audiences] and that's been a boon to my career."

Although he may be saying goodbye to the endearing explorer, Harrison is not retiring from acting just yet as the 80-year-old looks to enter the Marvel Universe as Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross.

Ford will take on this new role in the 2024 movie ‘Thunderbolts’ in which a group of supervillains are recruited to go on missions for the government (do I hear Suicide Squad?) as well as ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ set to premiere next year too.
