Jamie Foxx has broken his social media silence after spending three weeks in hospital due to 'medical complication'. The actor shared a statement on his Instagram page that said: "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed."

Fans and celebrities were quick to send the actor well wishes. Actor Jeremy Renner who is recovering form a recent accident commented "Sending you strength and love".

Baby Driver actor Ansel Elgort wrote "You are the greatest Jamie, please make a speedy recovery. You are a blessing to this world, we need you in it."

Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel added a praying hands emoji.

Jamie was taken to hospital on Tuesday 11 April because of a mystery illness and now after three weeks in hospital friends are urging fans to pray for him. 

The actor who was filming Netflix movie Back in Action alongside Cameron Diaz has been undergoing tests at a medical centre in Georgia. The day after Jamie was hospitalised his daughter actress Corrine Foxx confirmed in a statement  that her father had suffered a ‘medical complication.’

She explained “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,' she continued. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Since his hospitalisation, the family have continued to keep private and haven't released any further details about his condition or symptoms he may be suffering. 

An insider explained that the Ray actor was 'communicating now' which implies that he may not have been able to at one point.

Actor and friend Martin Lawrence did reveal to People that the actor’s health is improving. Martin said “I hear he's doing better… My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him.”

Ex-girlfriend Katie Holmes is also  ‘deeply concerned’ amid his ongoing health battle, reported the Radar Online. The former couple dated for six years after being spotted together in 2013. 

Another source close to Jaime told TMZ he ‘needs all the prayers and well-wishes his fans can muster'.

There is no clear indication on when he will be able to leave hospital or even return to work with the Netflix movie currently on hold but is due to be released in 2024.
