Jennifer Aniston and ex-husband Justin Theroux are seen out together, could a reconciliation be on the cards?

Jennifer Aniston enjoyed a dinner date at the restaurant II Cantinori in New York with ex-husband Justin Theroux. The pair who have remained close friends since their break were spotted at the Italian restaurant with close pals Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka. In pictures obtained by the Daily Mail Jennifer was seen leaving the restaurant with a single stem red rose.

And of course the rumour mill is working overtime with everyone wondering if they could be getting back together. 

The Friends actress first met the actor and filmmaker in May 2011 on the set of Wanderlust and announced their engagement just over a year later. The couple married in their garden at their stunning $21 million luxury Bel-Air home in front of close friends and family in August 2015. 

The couple officially announced their breakup in February 2018 and released a statement that explained their separation. It said "This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."

Five years later could things be back on again? Since they broke up they have stayed close friends. As well as wishing each other best wishes on Instagram for their birthdays, the two were seen cuddling at a table read for the ABC special of 80s sitcom Facts of Life.

But is it ever a good idea to go back to an ex, no matter how dashingly good looking they are?

Well it obviously worked out well for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. The couple dated for two years from 2002-2004. Then surprisingly after staying close friends, got back together 20 years later in 2022. The pair have since got married and now live happily ever after. 

Popstar Justin Bieber dated model Hailey (Baldwin) Bieber in 2016 during an off time with his on again off again ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. But after eventually calling it quits with Selena, Justin and Hailey got back together and married soon after. 

Singer Pink ended her marriage to motocross racer Carey Hart after two years of marriage. They never officially got divorced which is just as well as the couple started dating again a year after their break up and went onto get back together and have two children together. 

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, the singer dated the actress from 2007 - 2011. The couple met at a party not long after Justin had split from actress Cameron Diaz. After splitting from Jessica in 2011, the break was short lived and the couple soon got back together in 2012 and were married shortly afterwards. They too have since gone on to have two children. 

So Jennifer maybe getting back with your ex-husband isn't such a bad thing after all. It could be the fairy tale happy ending you've been looking for.
