Will Johnny Depp spend his 60th birthday with his children Lily-Rose Depp and Jack Depp? What do they do?

Acting Hollywood legend Johnny Depp turns 60 today but will he be celebrating his milestone birthday with his two children, daughter Lily-Rose Depp and son Jack Depp? 

Johnny is best known for playing the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean. According to the Daily Mail he won’t be reprising his role as he has “no intention of working with Disney ever again.” This is due to the treatment he received during the legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. 

Before marrying Amber, and after his split from supermodel Kate Moss Johnny started dating French singer Vanessa Paradis they dated for over 14 years - his longest relationship ever - and they lived in her home country of France with their two children Lily-Rose Depp, 24, and Jack Depp, 21.

Both of Jonny’s children were born in France, have American-French nationalities and are bi-lingual. Lily-Rose revealed in an interview that the siblings would use French as a secret language when they attended an American school. 

Eldest daughter Lily-Rose has already had a successful modelling career. She is a brand ambassador for luxury fashion house Chanel and has featured in many campaigns for the fashion brand. 

As well as being featured in the most prestigious fashion magazines Lily-Rose appears to be following in her fathers footsteps and turned her attention to acting. She had small roles in a few films but it’s her lead role in Sam Levison’s ‘The Idol’ that has really got people talking. 

The HBO series premiered at this years Cannes Film Festival and received mixed reviews from critics over the ‘torture porn’ storyline. Lily-Rose plays troubled pop star Jocelyn alongside real life singer Abel Tesfaye [The Weekend] who plays Tedros. 

Sources close to Johnny reportedly said “Johnny loves that Lily is carving out a career of her own and challenging herself to take on roles that interest her and test her. He loves that she is her own person and becoming her own actress. She isn't resting her career on his success."

With Lily-Rose being in the spotlight right now many people may have even forgotten that Johnny has a son. Jack seems to stay out of the spotlight but according to his father he does have an artistic flair which is no surprise considering who his parents are.

Johnny previously told the Inquirer “My boy Jack… draws really super well. He also plays music very well. He's got a good feel for that."

Jack doesn’t have social media (there is a fan account @jackidepp) but his older sister loves sharing cute pics of them together when they were younger. On his 18th birthday she posted a pic with the caption “My little baby Jackie is 18. My baby bro my heart and soul happy birthday I love you SO MUCH!”

In 2018 Vanessa missed the film Knife and Heart  due to Jack being ill. The director Yann Gonzalezat the time explained "Unfortunately, Vanessa Paradis could not join us this evening. She had to be absent because of the serious health problems of her son." The family has never revealed what the illness was.

Johnny has had a successful career from starring in the horror ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ in 1984 at just 21. Johnny also starred in classic films such as ‘Edward Scissorhands’, ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’, Blow’, ‘Lone Ranger’ and ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’ to name just a few. And if you haven't heard of any of those films before I suggest you watch them all this weekend.
