Lily James may have played Cinderella in the live action Disney remake, however the actress is still trying to find her Prince Charming as she was seen days after her reported split from musician Michael Shuman.

As couples all around the world celebrate Valentine’s, the day of romance may be a bit too soon as Lily allegedly separated from Queen of The Stone Age’s bass-player Michael Shuman after they were first linked together in February 2021, when seen sharing a kiss in public.

Their first public sighting came when Lily was filming her latest movie ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?’ in Suffolk, but the pair made their official public debut when walking the red carpet together for the 2022 Academy Awards.

In a full-circle moment since they were first linked, Lily James was pictured walking the carpet at the London premiere of her rom-com alongside her on-screen partner Shazad Latif on Tuesday, instead of Michael.

While Lily attended the premiere with her co-star and there are no rumours they are together, especially after her recent alleged split, this isn’t the first time she has been spotted with her on-screen matchups - with previous instances potentially leading to more than friendship.

In a spin on the classic romance story of Pride and Prejudice, Lily James first met her future partner of five years Matt Smith, while the pair filmed the horror/romance film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies in 2014.

Albeit it wasn’t a tale of Elizabeth Bennet meeting Mr Darcy but Matt’s character, ‘Parson Collins’, Lily and Matt were together for a long time, with several appearances on red carpets and even creating speculations that they were engaged, when Lily wore a ring at the 2018 Baftas.

After five years the couple went their separate ways just as rumours circulated Matt was embarking on a relationship with his The Crown co-star Claire Foy.

Matt and Lily tried briefly to rekindle their romance following the Covid-19 pandemic, but nothing really came out of it with the Rebecca actress instead finding love with other actors including Captain America star Chris Evans and Dominic West.

Lily’s relationship with Chris was fleeting, but there were rumours that she started to go out with her Pursuit of Love co-star Dominic West in October 2020, when the pair were spotted kissing in Rome.

There was scandal surrounding the romance between West and James, as Dominic was married to Catherine Fitzgerald at the time, despite being seen without his wedding ring on.

When asked about their kiss days before the Pursuit of Love premiere, Lily James told the Guardian: “I’m not really willing to talk about that. There is a lot to say, but not now, I’m afraid.”
