I spent the first few days of the Christmas break binge watching season three of Emily in Paris. Actor Lucien Laviscount who stars as ‘Alfie,’ plays a prominent role in the show and I know plenty of fans who can’t stop swooning over him.

It was therefore not a surprise to me that Lucien could be set to be the next James Bond. It has been reported that the James Bond boss, Barbara Broccoli has said that at 30, Lucien is the perfect age to play 007.

According to reports, Barbara Broccoli is believed to want the next ‘James Bond’ to play the role for 15 years. Other actors who have been in contention for the role include Idris Elba.

However, if Idris (who turned 50 in September), was selected, it would mean that he would be 65 if he stars in Bond for 15 years!

Here at PeopleWorld, we have also written about the likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Henry Cavill being in the running to play the next James Bond.

Henry Cavill was a particular favourite after Warner Bros snubbed him as Superman and he announced he would be leaving Netflix show The Witcher.

Henry Cavill, who originally had a screen test for James Bond when he was 21, spoke about this when he appeared on The Graham Norton Show. When Graham joked to him that the Bond position was vacant, Henry replied by saying that he would definitely “have a conversation.”

Now back to Lucien Laviscount…

Lucien certainly looks the part and definitely looks good in a suit and bow tie. The one sticking point for him is that he appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in 2011 and finished fifth.

Some sources are saying that this could prevent him from becoming James Bond as traditionally those chosen are considered to be more high brow.

Here at PeopleWorld, we would love to see Lucien as the next James Bond. Watch this space….
