2023 is already shaping up to be some year for actress Michelle Yeoh. She goes straight to the top of PeopleWorld’s hot list for winning the award for best Female Actor in a Leading Role-Motion Picture for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Although Michelle Yeoh has been widely regarded as an exceptional talent for many years and has been nominated for key awards, it has taken her many years to be finally recognised. She first came to the attention of Western audiences through her role in Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and was first nominated for her part in Tomorrow Never Dies back in 2001!

I am sure Michelle’s win at the 2023 SAG Awards might very well prove to be a precursor to how she fares at the upcoming Oscars.

Next up today is Tommy Fury. There are certainly a few bleary-eyed individuals in my household today as everybody was up late last night to see him beat Jake Paul in a split decision after eight rounds. What I took away from the boxing match was the sheer pressure Tommy must have felt having to live up to the ‘Fury’ name.

When he was declared victorious, Tommy felt unable to contain his emotions and sense of relief he must have felt at beating the YouTuber Jake Paul.

Last up today is Brendan Fraser who encouraged actors to ‘Stay in There’ as he won the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role for his performance in The Whale. He beat the likes of Adam Sandler (Hustle), Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin) and Austin Butler (Elvis) to win the coveted award.

Now who is featured on PeopleWorld’s hot list today?

First up is Saturday Night Takeaway’s Declan Donnelly. He is facing a backlash after making an inappropriate comment to an audience member. Fans took to social media to complain and said that they would also be complaining to Ofcom (TV Regulators) too!

Next up is Aubrey Plaza. As the ‘White Lotus’ cast took to the stage to accept the 2023 SAG Award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series, she was caught seemingly mouthing something angrily. Oh dear Aubrey!

Last up today is Elon Musk who once again features on PeopleWorld’s ‘not so hot’ list. Over the weekend he axed more key Twitter staff, including senior team leaders who were reportedly fired by email or locked out of systems.
