When he was announced as the new Wonka, Timothée said: “To work on something that will have an uncynical young audience, that was just a big joy, That’s why I was drawn to it. In a time and climate of intense political rhetoric, when there’s so much bad news all the time, this is hopefully going to be a piece of chocolate.”
The new trailer sees a huge cast list and some of the biggest stars from the UK will be in the film.
Viewers were shocked to see ‘Paddington 2’ star Hugh Grant as a CGI, dancing orange Oompa Loompa. Speaking to Digital Spy Paul explained why he cast Hugh in the role “He's the funniest, most sarcastic s**** that I've ever met and it was very nice to put him in the film."
