Hide AdThe film follows a young couple who travel to an exclusive, remote restaurant run by a disturbing chef - Chef Slowik - with a dark secret.
The couple - Margot and Tyler - struggle to make it through the meal as secrets about their surrounding guests are revealed throughout the film. It becomes clear that the chef is exacting vengeance on those he thinks have wronged him and no one is meant to leave the restaurant alive.
As the courses come out of the kitchen, the meal grows more and more disturbed.

On film review compilation site Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently has a rating of 89% - indicating it has been favourable among critics.

It holds the same critical review score as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and 2 percent better than Bones and All which both also released in November 2022.
At this year's Golden Globes, The Menu was nominated for Best Actress (musical or comedy) and Best Actor (musical or comedy) for Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes respectively.
How can you watch it?
While it is now only being shown at a limited number of UK cinemas after its November 18 release, the film is available on HBO Max in the US and on Disney+ in the UK as of January 4.
As it was distributed by Searchlight Pictures - owned by Disney - the film has quickly been made available to watch on their streaming service.
