However, some of the faces donning the magazine cover may be less well known as they have entered Hollywood at a later date and are gearing up to be the ‘stars of tomorrow’.

As Vanity Fair interviews HoYeon Jung and Jeremy Allen White, PeopleWorld takes a closer look at the Hollywood actors:

Who is HoYeon Jung?

HoYeon Jung is a South Korean model and actress who rose to international fame through her television debut in Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’ as Kang Sae-byeok, in which she received critical acclaim as the series’ ‘breakout star’.

For her role, HoYeon received nominations for supporting actress for a Primetime Emmy and the Screen Actors Guild Awards outstanding performance in a drama series, with the latter of which she won.

To develop her acting skill set, HoYeon returned home to take acting lessons spanning three months and also worked on her English.

HoYeon initially auditioned for her breakout performance in Squid Game via video while attending the New York Fashion Week, as the star worked as a model before entering the film industry, before being asked to audition in person.

During her modelling career, which she began at the age of 16, she competed in Korea’s Next Top Model competition twice, featured in Korea’s editions of Vogue, Elle and W, and walked for big fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci and Burberry.

HoYeon moved from South Korea to New York to further her modelling, dying her hair red in the process to gain attention, and appeared in the promotional advert for Pharrell’s Adidas campaign in 2019.

Although HoYeon switched to acting after thinking her modelling career was slowing down, she has since featured on the February 2022 cover of Vogue (making her the first solo Korean cover star), become one of the faces of Chanel’s perfume, starred in a The Weeknd music video, and been listed on the ‘new supers’ list by Models.com.

As one of Vanity Fair’s stars of tomorrow, fans can watch out for HoYeon not only in her feature film debut The Governesses, but also starring opposite Cate Blanchett in the thriller series Disclaimer.

Who is Jeremy Allen White?

Although he may be branded a star of tomorrow, American star Jeremy Allen White has been in the acting game for quite some time after playing Phillip ‘Lip’ Gallagher for a decade in the hit series ‘Shameless’.

Some may say Jeremy also has acting in his blood as his parents both moved to New York City to pursue acting careers before meeting on stage and changing jobs to support their family.

Growing up Jeremy had a passion for dance, specifically ballet, jazz and tap, but channelled his focus to acting when he entered middle school - all of which paid off as he gained the role in Shameless as soon as he left high school.

Despite being in the industry for many years, Jeremy has seemingly come into his own over the last couple of years as seen by his Golden Globe and Critics Choice-winning performance in the Hulu comedy-series The Bear.

Jeremy takes on the main role as a chef called Carmy Berzatto for eight episodes, and is still waiting to hear whether he has won a SAG award as he clinched a nomination for his performance too.

Since his critical acclaim in The Bear, Jeremy has secured roles in both television and film, with productions taking place at the start of this year.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Jeremy said he was fortunate to make a sci-fi romance movie called Fingernails alongside two actors he looks up to, namely Riz Ahmed and Jessie Buckley, as well as becoming the late wrestler Kerry Von Erich in the Iron Claw.
