It looks like the Sexiest Man Alive is officially off the market, as several reports claim Chris Evans is dating Alba Baptista.

While we don’t know much about their relationship a source has said the couple have been together ‘for over a year’.

PEOPLE magazine says a source confirmed the actress, 25, and Marvel alum, 41 are ‘in love and Chris has never been happier’, adding ‘his family and friends all adore her'.

Rumours about the two first began in January 2022 when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Evans began following Baptista on Instagram in autumn 2020.

Baptista followed him back in 2021 when they were both filming projects in Europe. Evans and Baptista have not commented on the news as of yet, and given that they have reportedly kept tight-lipped for over a year we can’t expect a comment anytime soon.

The news comes after Evans was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2022, taking over the baton from previous Marvel co-star Paul Rudd. The title has previously been held by the likes of his current co-star Dwayne Johnson, as well as Idris Elba and David Beckham. When speaking about the honour Evans said: “My Mom will be so proud.”

Evans told People exclusively in his Sexiest Man Alive interview that he is looking to settle down: "That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family. When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them admit it wasn’t the work they made that they are most proud of, it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared."

Alba Baptista was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1997. Baptista’s parents are an engineer and a translator. She reportedly speaks five languages including English, Spanish, French, and German.

Most notably, Baptista made her English-language debut in the Warrior Nun series on Netflix in which she plays the main character Ava. The role gained her critical and mainstream attention with her performance receiving strong reviews. Baptista has starred in several Portuguese series and films, including A Impostora, Filha da Lei, A Criação, and Jogo Duplo.
