Elden Ring: E3 trailer and release date of game written by George RR Martin and Hidetaka Miyazaki

A George RR Martin scripted fantasy game stole the headlines at this year’s E3 event.

A trailer for Elden Ring closed E3, which is widely regarded as the world’s most influential gaming event.

Producers of the game have promised an immersive open-world epic which allows players to "traverse the breathtaking world on foot or on horseback, alone or online with other players".

Fans have already drawn comparisons between the upcoming release and the Dark Souls series.

When is Elden Ring released?

Fans of George RR Martin will need to wait half-a-year before they get their hands on the game.

Elden Ring will be launched on January 21, 2022.

"The Golden Order has been broken.

The Elden Ring universe has been created by Game of Thrones creator George RR Martin and Dark Souls maker Hidetake Miyazaki.

Details on the game website promises “a journey through the Lands Between, a new fantasy world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the influential DARK SOULS video game series, and George R. R. Martin, author of The New York Times best-selling fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire.
