When Adele took to the stage of the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, she and her legions of fans were naturally overcome with emotion. After all, it was only in January this year that Adele was forced to cancel her Las Vegas residency. She has said that it was “the worst moment in my career”.
In an interview with BBC Radio’s Desert Island Discs, she candidly revealed that she “was a shell of a person for a couple of months.” Adele went on to say that she “just had to wait it out and just grieve it.”

As Adele had only cancelled the show in January, one can only imagine the pressure she must have felt when taking to the stage on Friday night. Screams from her fans resulted in tears falling down her cheeks, and this was one of many emotional moments that Adele displayed during the night.
“I should be giving you a standing ovation,” she told her fans. “Thank you so much for coming back to me.”
Adele was supported at the show by her boyfriend Rich Paul, and her son, Angelo, 10. During a rendition of ‘When We Were Young, she went over to kiss them both. Stormzy was also in the audience to lend his support to Adele.

Although she had shared an instagram post that she had “never been more nervous before a show in my career,” Adele was able to overcome her fears and demonstrate what an iconic star she is.
Adele’s triumphant return to the stage comes after she was branded a ‘diva’ after cancelling her shows, however, now reports of diva behaviour from the singer are circulating once again.
The singer has reportedly shunned the suite offered to her by Caesars Palace during Vegas residency.
One source told The Daily Mail that Adele had a ‘hissy fit’ after being offered a room in the Palazzo Villas at the Rio, an all-suite hotel and casino across from Caesars, when she had expected to be housed in the Augustus Tower.
