After less than a year of dating and amid concerns of an “age-gap,” the relationship between singer Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford is all over. Page Six confirmed the break-up overnight, quoting a source from Eilish’s team stating “We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends,” with rumours abound regarding the status of their relationship after the pair were last spotted together in April at Coachella

Billie Eilish’s last public appearance after Coachella 2023 was at this year's Met Gala, but conspicuous by his absence was the 31 year old vocalist for rock group the Neighborhood, leading some speculation if there was trouble while at Coachella last month as the pair kept a rather low profile at the event.

There has always been a slight unease also about the pairing given the age gap between them; Rutherford is 10 years older than Eilish prompting some concerns about the age disparity between them and leading to even more speculation that perhaps the large difference between ages could be attributed to different perspectives/needs from the relationship. As many of us know, what we want at 21 is wholly different to what we want at 31.

Rutherford’s last relationship before dating the Bad Guy singer was a six year partnership with Devon Lee Carlson, model and co-founder of Wildflower Cases. The pair proved a popular combination, with GQ Magazine even citing them “2019's most 2019 couple" and the pair collaborating with Marc Jacobs for a range of Valentine Days t-shirts in 2020 that sold out within minutes.

But for Billie Eilish, who at times is very protective of her privacy and has gone on record to say she finds falling in love “spooky,” Peopleworld takes a look at the dating history of the musical artist - could any of these be a little less “spooky” should Eilish return to them?

Who has Billie Eilish dated in the past?

Before Eilish started dating Jesse Rutherford, she was involved in a relationship with another older gentleman, Matthew Tyler Vorce, between April 2021 and May 2022. Though now perhaps known more for his dalliance with the singer, Vorce has been an actor since 2012 and is popularly known as a co-host on the podcast series "Searching for Putty Man," which was a fictional horror podcast about a legendary monster in Los Angeles' Griffith Park.

The podcast had a Serial-like format and aimed to engage listeners by connecting them to real locations within the story. Vorce has received training at The Groundlings School, where he studied basic and intermediate improv, and he has also studied at Playhouse West. His acting credits include projects such as "Little Monsters" (2012), "Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?" (2016), and "Dark Hours: Typee" (2016)

Those of us who grew up and remembered the ‘90s might already be familiar with the rapper Q; he was born Brandon Adams and became quite a prolific child actor during the era. You remember him, right? He played Zeke in Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker, Fool in Wes Craven’s The People Under The Stairs and Jesse in both The Mighty Ducks and The Mighty Ducks 2.

He elicited the ire of Billie Eilish stans after his appearance in her documentary Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry and matters got so bad that Brandon had to take to his Instagram Stories to address his relationship with Billie. He revealed that he was dealing with the death of his brother when he was dating the singer. "Especially around that time when it was fresh. Sometimes you have to be alone to cope," he said.

Henry Whitford (2014)

Not so much of a relationship, but Billie Eilish did namecheck the British socialite as her first kiss, though immediately discussed how bad the actual moment was. Billie said she went on a date with Henry Witford the day before Valentine's Day in 2014. The two went to the movies, but Billie said that the movie they saw was "the worst movie ever."

Billie and Henry then decided to do something kind of romantic. They went on the roof of a parking lot to go look at the stars. As they sat there, they kissed, marking the moment as Billie's first kiss ever. But Henry totally ruined the moment. "Right after we kissed, he says 'wow that was really not as magical at all as I thought it was going to be," Billie said at one of her concerts.
