BTS Festa 2023; K-Pop megastars announce new single ahead of their 10th anniversary celebrations

Despite members undertaking military service in South Korea and the likes of Jimin embarking on solo tours to London and representing Dior, fans of K-Pop superstars BTS can rejoice knowing that on their 10th anniversary of their formation, all seven members will be featured on an upcoming digital single, announced earlier today, as part of their BTS Festa 2023 celebrations.

The band’s label, Big Hit Music, made the announcement through BTS’s Weverse page, informing happy fans that “to celebrate their 10th anniversary, BTS will release the digital single “Take Two” this coming June. All seven members participated in “Take Two.” The song conveys their appreciation toward ARMY for all the love you shower them with and their desire to always be together with you.

“We sincerely express our gratitude to ARMY for making the 10th anniversary possible with your endless love for BTS, and we hope that “Take Two” will become a precious “Gift” from BTS to you all. We ask for your love and support for “Take Two” they concluded, followed by the all important release date for the single - Friday, June 9, 2023 at 1 p.m. (KST)

The single is only the second the band have released this year, after the song “The Planet” saw the light of day in early May 2023 - the track itself featured as the opening theme to animated K-Drama ‘Bastions,’ which also premiered in May of this year. Before then, the last official release from the collective came in August 2022 with the group collaborating with Benny Blanco and Snoop Dogg for the track “Bad Decisions.”

June will also see the release of a long-awaited memoir from the band; "BTS: Beyond the Story" was originally meant to be a surprise release on June 13 2023, but BTS and Taylor Swift fan speculation about the then-mysterious memoir's release prompted Big Hit to confirm it was a BTS book.

What is the BTS Festa?

BTS Festa is an annual event that serves as a celebration of BTS' debut anniversary. This grand celebration brings together BTS and their fans, known as ARMY, to commemorate the group's debut. Typically lasting for 8-14 days, BTS Festa starts on either the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th of June.

During the event, BTS treats their fans with various gifts and content. These offerings include new pictures, funny profiles, video content, special songs, and radio programs.
