Christina Aguilera commands attention in a custom made Luis De Javier black sequin gown with plunging neckline and extravagant opera style gloves at the 34th GLAAD Awards (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) in Beverly Hills on Thursday evening. 

The ‘Dirrty’ singer accepted the Advocate for Change Award in her speech Christina said “I grew up in this community … So much of who I am and what I do is because of each of you and the shared experience of having to fight for equality and freedom.” The award winning singer has been an advocate for the LGBTQ+ people since her career began including a gay kiss in her 2002 music video for the song ‘Beautiful’.

According to Pink News since the start of her career, Christina has raised half a billion dollars for HIV research, supported trans charities and spoken out against cruel legislation like Florida’s infamous ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law.

It seems the ‘Genie in a Bottle’ singer is now adding another string to her bow after launching new sexual wellness brand ‘Playground’. Taking to Instagram to share the news of her new venture Christina shared a video and explained “I’ve spent my entire career encouraging everyone, but especially women to feel empowered while owning their sexuality!”

“The better you feel about yourself, the better you can live your life and own EVERY capacity for it! I am so proud to be a co-founder of Playground, an amazing women-owned brand that’s committed to making sexual wellness products more accessible and FUN for all!”

Sexual Wellness brand Playground was launched by Xtina and co-founders Catherine Magee and Sandy Vukovic. A range of natural water-based lubricants that will enhance your senses. There is a scent free product with the other three products fragranced with essence of Champagne & Vanilla, Coconut & Sandalwood and Musk & Oud Wood. The ingredients contain “soothing vitamin E, hydrating hyaluronic acid and bamboo extract” and promise to “mimic your natural lubrication for a silky slip that just won’t quit” to help enhance mood, mind and libido.
