Hide AdThe duo Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik are not two names you would naturally see working together. However, that is exactly what these two did in 2016 when they collaborated on the single, ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,’ which was a track for the Film ‘Fifty Shades Darker’
Stormzy and Linkin Park
Stormzy teamed up with Linkin Park in 2017 when he featured on the band’s track. ‘Good Goodbye,’ alongside Pusha T. At the time and even today, this pairing is seen as a more unusual collaboration, but the band had been fans of Stormzy for quite some time.
According to the band, the only trouble they had when it came to the collaboration was pinning Stormzy down to record his verse. When Linkin Park’s frontman Chester Bennington passed away the same year, Stormzy was quick to pay tribute. “Bruv I can’t lie, I'm so upset serious", followed by broken heart emojis.
Sir Elton John and Eminem
Although Sir Elton John and Eminem have enjoyed a long-standing friendship, it is fair to say that the majority rather than the minority did not expect this pairing to have much in common. The pair performed one of Eminem’s biggest hits ‘Stan,’ at the 2001 Grammy Awards.

The reason why this statement was so powerful was because of allegations of homophobic lyrics written earlier in Eminem’s career. Eminem later revealed that when he was going through a tough period in his life due to drug addiction, he reached out to Sir Elton.
Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue
Although Kylie Minogue and Nick Cave are both Australian natives, their pairing was initially seen as somewhat incongruous. However, their paths were first said to have crossed in the 1990s when Kylie’s then boyfriend, (now the late) Michael Hutchence was told by Cave that he wished to collaborate with Kylie on a song.
The two artists joined up to work together on Cave’s iconically dark song. ‘Where The Wild Roses Grow.’ On paper, it was a collaboration that looked like it wouldn’t work. However, in reality it was the perfect pairing and a mainstream success.
