Hide AdElton said “To be honest with you, it’s the first time I’ve been asked to play it, I haven’t turned it down before. But it’s just come at the right time. I’m a great believer in serendipity and fate and this is the most wonderful way to sign off in England and Great Britain.”
As well as absolute hits including ‘I’m Still Standing,’ ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ featuring Kiki Dee, and ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight.’ The singer has been known to go above and beyond when it comes to his bold fashion choices.
We take a trip down memory lane and wonder if he will reprise one of these iconic outfits for his Glastonbury performance.
The Glasses
When you think of Elton’s style over the years the first thing that comes to mind is his glasses. They have their own entity becoming a key element in any Elton John fancy dress outfit. There are no boundaries, the bigger the better, from bright colours and tinted lenses to sequined rims. Who says glasses have to be boring.

Dodgers Baseball Kit
For his concert at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles Elton wore a show stopping blue and white, rhinestone-encrusted Dodgers baseball kit. His name was emblazoned across the back and the outfit was by fashion designer Bob Mackie.
Donald Duck
There is probably nobody else other than Donald Duck himself that could wear such a daring outfit and still look good. But yes Elton wore a full Donald Duck costume to perform at New York’s Central Park.
Birthday Celebrations
The singer went all out with his 50th birthday celebrations and dressed as King Louis XIV. Decked out in a head-to-toe white ensemble with a three-foot tall wig and floor length feather cape.
