London festival All Points East must have seen the backlash after the Glastonbury 2023 announcement, as the festival has announced its latest set of acts to perform at Victoria Park across the August Bank Holiday weekend. Organisers have announced that the sisters Haim will be a headline act this year, joining the likes of Stormzy, The Strokes and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The performance by Este, Danielle and Alana marks the band’s first performance in the UK since their July 2022 shows at London’s The O2 and comes off the back of what is set to be a huge multi-night residency at the SoFi Centre in California earlier in August. The band has yet to announce any follow-up to their 2020 album, Women in Music Pt. III, which is understandable given Este’s brief, but critically acclaimed acting career having appeared in Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2021 film Licorice Pizza.

The announcement wasn’t solely about Haim though, as All Points East confirmed that Girl In Red will also perform the festival, who has currently been getting a signal boost from none other than Taylor Swift. The Norwegian singer/songwriter has been confirmed as one of the few supporting acts for Swift ahead of her The Eras Tour later this year, alongside Phoebe Bridgers, Beabadoobee and, surprise surprise, Haim.

Australian electroclash duo Confidence Man will also be performing at Victoria Park this year, as part of a wider European tour of music festivals which includes performances at Down The Rabbit Hole and Wilderness Festival, while Lizzy Mcalpine, Tove Lo, Joesef, Snail Mail, Tamino, Romy Avalon Emerson + The Charm, Mae Stephens, Nell Mescal, Gigi and Nieve Ella have also been confirmed.

Tickets to All Points East 2023 are still available, but given that the event ended up selling out in 2022 and saw another growth as a must-attend music festival in the United Kingdom, our advice is to avoid missing out and book now.
