Miley Cyrus is 30! Today (November 23) is the actress and singer’s birthday. Miley Cyrus has been in the industry since she was nine years old and played her final concert of her 20’s in Mexico City this week.

Cyrus took to Instagram to commemorate the event saying:  “The last show of my 20’s last night in Mexico City. Thank you for supporting me through this last decade of my life. Looking forward to who I’ll become in my 30’s. Much appreciation and gratitude for the love Mexico.”

Miley Cyrus shows no signs of slowing down either, as well as her non stop touring, she announced that she will once again host Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party on NCB and Peacock, she was previously joined by Pete Davidson, but has announced her Godmother and frequent collaborator, Dolly Parton will be her co-host.

Cyrus is the daughter of country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. She made a name for herself when she emerged as a teen idol portraying the iconic Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart on the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana. The show ran from 2006 and ended in 2011. Under the name Hannah Montana, Cyrus released two number albums and three top-five soundtracks on the US Billboard 200.

Cyrus’s own discography includes the US number-one albums including her debut Meet Miley Cyrus which was released in 2007, Breakout of 2008, and Bangerz of 2013. As a musician, her unique raspy voice has set her apart on the charts. She has been praised for creating music across multiple genres including pop, country, rock and psychedelic. She has previously cited Joan Jett, Elvis Presley, and Britney Spears as some of her many musical inspirations.

Cyrus’s career accolades include making the Time 100 list in 2008 at the age of 16 and also in 2014 at 22. She was also named MTV’s Best Artist of 2013 Award, and appeared on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Artists Chart in 2019.

The highly successful singer is also the founder of the Happy Hippie Foundation, which works to 'fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth, and other vulnerable populations'. As of 2014 the foundation has served nearly 1,500 homeless youth across Los Angeles. The foundation has also reached more than 25,000 LGBTQ youth and their families with resources about gender.

Throughout her career, her personal life has often also been featured in the media. As a teenager, she had a highly publicised on and off relationship with Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.

While Cyrus was filming her feature film The Last Song, she began an on-again, off-again relationship with her co-star Liam Hemsworth in 2009, they first became engaged in 2012 before ending their relationship in 2013. Cyrus and Hemsworth rekindled their relationship in March 2016, and got reengaged in October 2016.

Cyrus married Hemsworth in a private ceremony at their home in Nashville. On August 10, 2019, Cyrus announced their separation and eleven days later, Hemsworth filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences". Their divorce was finalised on 29 January 2020.
