Social media provides a window into celebrities' lives allowing fans to know how they decorate their house, what their fashion style is and where they go on holiday.

However, J-Lo fans were left completely in the dark as the singer and actress cleared her Instagram and social media accounts, and changed her profile picture to a solid black image.

While Jennifer’s 226 million followers on Instagram are left with an empty page, J-Lo has left some of her posts available on Twitter and TikTok.

The 53-year-old has not made a statement following her Wednesday night social media blitz but her actions echo that of many celebrities who cleared their accounts ahead of a massive announcement, whether it be personal or professional.

Jennifer Lopez, who has announced that her legal name is now Jennifer Affleck following her summer Las Vegas wedding to actor Ben, has not released a studio album since 2014 and recently performed the Super Bowl halftime show with Shakira.

A 2022 Netflix documentary was released capturing their halftime show and J-Lo is also expected to produce two movies this year called ‘The Mother’ and ‘Shotgun Wedding’, according to IMDB.

As people question what J-Lo could be about to ‘Get Loud’ about, People World dives into other celebrities’ zeroed-out accounts:

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has built herself quite the ‘Reputation’ of slow-feeding information to her fans about upcoming events or releases.

For example, the Anti-Hero singer similarly cleared her social media accounts in 2017 ahead of her ‘Reputation’ studio album being released.

The silent social media stint proved successful as Taylor’s album and ensuing Reputation tour became the highest-grossing US tour on record, generating a gross of $266 million.

Blake copied the simple marketing tool by removing all posts and profile pictures in 2018.

After a social media silence, the Gossip Girl actress then dropped a teaser trailer for her next movie ‘A Simple Favour’ featuring Anna Kendrick and Henry Golding.

The 2018 film marked a revival as it was Blake’s first movie appearance in two years following her 2016 releases of 'The Shallows' and 'Cafe Society'.

Zayn Malik

While stars may delete their social media accounts due to exciting news, others checked out due to heart-breaking personal developments.

One Direction alum Zayn Malik historically wiped the social media slate clean in the wake of his 2018 breakup with model Gigi Hadid, confirmed by a breakup tattoo image Zayn had shared days prior.

The ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ singer reunited with Gigi for a short time and the pair, despite no longer being together, now share a baby daughter.
