Who is Josh Popper? Madonna’s rumoured new partner who coaches her children boxing

While Madonna has received some knockout blows recently including social media users trolling the Queen of Pop following her appearance at the Grammys, and the devastating loss of her brother Anthony Ciccone; a man who knows how to deliver a knockout punch has seemingly entered her life.

Days after the ‘Material Girl’ split from model boyfriend Andrew Darnell citing a ‘crisis of confidence’, it has been reported that she is dating her kid’s boxing coach, Josh Popper.

The news comes after Madonna shared pictures on her Instagram of her spending quality time with her four youngest children - namely her 17-year-old son David Banda, her 17-year-old daughter Mercy James and her two 10-year-old twins Estere and Stella, who were adopted from Malawi, spotted in the background of her stories.

As Madonna shared snaps of her family with the caption ‘What is Life Without Friends and Family?’, she has also previously introduced the new man in their lives to her 18.9 million followers. 

Days after Madonna faced backlash for her appearance at the Grammy’s, the award-winning singer posted a picture with her boxing coach Josh Popper, where she held onto his arm as the pair smiled at the camera.

The story included a caption that read: “In a male driven culture, there are always exceptions,” insinuating that he had made an impact on the Vogue hitmaker.

Who is Josh Popper?

Not only is 29-year-old Josh Popper Madonna’s sparring partner, he allegedly coaches her son David, in his own New York City gym called Bredwinners, ahead of a charity match.

Although he is gaining prominence after being connected to Madonna, some people may recognise Josh as he made a cameo in an episode for Bravo’s ‘Summer House’ with Sam Feher.

Summer House’s Sam Feher brought Josh to the Hamptons to introduce to her friends, but the content creator realised she was not romantically interested in the boxing coach, therefore made their relationship platonic.

Amid the rumours of Madonna dating Josh Popper, Sam responding to critics concerning the way she treated her ex-flame on the episode, suggesting ‘they don’t see everything’.

Although there are reports that Madonna and Popper are more than friends, Page Six did suggest that they only posted together to gain publicity for Bredwinners and ahead of David’s charity match.

The pair haven’t commented on the rumours, but could Madonna be the Queen of Popper?
