Who is Michael Lockwood? Lisa Marie Presley’s ex-husband reportedly given full custody of their twin daughters

Lisa Marie Presley’s ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, will reportedly get full custody of their twin daughters following her death. TMZ reports that twins Finley and Harper Vivienne aged 14, have been living with their dad since Lisa Marie’s death.

Priscilla Presley (77), confirmed her daughter Lisa Marie Presley, died on January 12 aged 54. She was the only child of rock’n’roll legend Elvis. Priscilla Presley said in a statement: "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss."

Her sudden death led to much discussion over who would get custody of her youngest children and who would take over the Graceland estate, which is the only part of Elvis’s estate left in the Presley family.

Michael Lockwood is best known as the fourth husband of Lisa Marie’s. The pair started dating in 2003 while Lisa Marie was still legally married, but separated, from Nicholas Cage.  The couple married in 2006 in an intimate ceremony in Kyoto Japan, according to People magazine.

Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s first husband, served as best man to Lockwood. The couple went on to welcome fraternal twin girls, Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood in 2008.

After 10 years together, Presley filed for divorce in 106, citing "irreconcilable differences" and seeking full custody of their daughters, who were eight at the time. In 2017, E Online reported that Presley accused Lockwood of possessing disturbing photos and videos of children on his computer in response to his request for spousal support.

Following an investigation into the serious accusations there were no charges but did result in the couple’s children being placed in the temporary care of Presley’s mom after being taken into protective custody by the Department of Child and Family Services in 2017. Their divorce was finalised in May 2021.

Following the death of Lisa Marie, Lockwood said he ws ‘reeling’ but focused on making sure his daughters “they always feel safe and loved.”  while they grieve their mother.

Lockwood told People: "Both of them have incredible spirit and they will carry our family’s legacy on for the rest of their lives. Since they were born, Harper and Finley have brought me profound joy and I remain devoted to them. We ask for privacy at this incredibly difficult time.

Outside of his marriage to Lisa Marie, Michael has a career in the music industry as a guitarist and producer. Lockwood was even listed as executive producer on Presley’s 2005 album "Now What,". Throughout his career Lockwood has worked with a wide range of artists and bands in various genres both as a musician and collaborator including Carly Simon’s 2005 album ‘This Kind Of Love’.

Michael married Beauty Beach Lounge hairstylist Stephanie Hobgood in 2022 and they live in an estate estimated to be worth $800,000 in Thousand Oaks, according to Zillow.
