News about Liam Payne’s interest in making a documentary may sound ‘Familiar’ as it comes shortly after his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson’s own premiere for All Of Those Voices.

Although it has been almost a decade since One Direction went on hiatus, Liam has revealed he has still been inspired by his friend who talked about his life and career in his 2023 documentary up until to the point of Louis’ recent sold-out world tour.

Liam was seen on the red carpet supporting Louis in London last month when his film was released, which was said to be a catalyst for the Strip That Down singer to start talking to producers to determine whether the project was viable.

While discussions have started to take place with Liam reportedly hoping for the show to be on streaming services such as Netflix or Prime Video, reports have stated that Liam had already been self-documenting his career since he first debuted with the band on X Factor in 2010.

Multiple musical personalities have released documentaries over the past couple of years including Lewis Capaldi, Taylor Swift, Liam Gallagher and Ed Sheeran to name a few, all of which highlighted their career and personal lives respectively, so will Liam Payne be heading in the same direction for his own?

It was claimed to the Sun that in addition to Liam wanting to cover his rise to fame and solo career in the production, he also wanted to make the doc as a result of the constant comparison to him and his old bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis.

They said: “A lot of it he has been able to shrug off but sometimes things can hurt. He’s not one to mope around and hold a pity party by any means but Liam feels a documentary will allow him to set the record straight.”

The move to tell his side of the story may come at a crucial point in Liam’s career as he seemingly damaged some of his popularity among 1D fans when making controversial comments about his former bandmates on Logan Paul’s podcast.

In addition to calling Zayn a ‘d***’ and alluding to his alleged altercation with Yolanda Hadid, Liam suggested that One Direction was formed around him which did not go down very well with the committed fandom who took to Twitter.

Despite suggesting in the podcast that he and Louis ‘hated each other’, the pair have obviously put the past and ‘All Of Those Voices’ aside in recent months with the documentary premiere.

While Liam overcame that fight, fans were confused yet excited to learn that Liam may have been fighting Love Island star and boxer Tommy Fury when the pair posted an announcement on social media last night.

However, the two would not be meeting in the boxing ring but instead at Old Trafford, Manchester where they would face off on the opposing teams for this year’s Soccer Aid.
