Shakira's new life in Miami is reportedly interrupted by eviction notice from Gerard Piqué’s dad

Shakira is undoubtedly hoping that ‘sunnier days’ will definitely lie ahead for her and sons in their new home in Miami. She has recently decided to move away from Barcelona to start a new life with her children after her split from Gerard Piqué. 

On her Instagram, she said:”Thank you to everyone who has been there to cheer me up, dried my tears,inspired me and made me grow. Thank you to my Spanish audience who have always wrapped me in their love and loyalty. For you just a see you later and as my father said so many times, see you around the curves!”

Shakira’s fans were quick to offer their support to the singer on her social media. One said:”You will always be welcome in Barcelona Shakira, the shame is we can’t send Pique out,” whilst another commented: "Here in Barcelona you will always have your home, it has been your home for many years and you will never forget it because Barcelona will never forget you."

As Shakira and her children adjust to a new life in Miami, the singer was reportedly served an ‘eviction’ notice by Gerard Piqué's father. Joan Pique. According to The Mirror, “Reports in the Spanish press say the singer received an email from Pique’s dad on March 13 asking her to vacate the former couple’s home by April 30- or pay compensation.”

Without question, Shakira has had a traumatic end to her time living in Barcelona. She not only had to contend with splitting from her husband Gerard, but he also embarked on a new relationship with Clara Chia Marti. A video also emerged of Gerard taking a work video from his home in 2021 and Clara is seen in the background. Shakira did not ‘officially split’ from Gerard until almost a year later. 

If breaking up with her husband and seeing him with a new woman wasn’t hard enough, she also reportedly decided to have a wall constructed to separate her home in Barcelona from that of Montserrat Bernabeu who is the mother of Gerard. Despite all the heartache she endured, Shakira can take some comfort from the fact that her song ‘Out of Your League’ broke Latin YouTube records.

Gerard decided to take his own ‘revenge’ on Shakira’s lyrics “I’m worth two 22s. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio..,” by reportedly persuading Casio to become sponsors of the Kings League. He also arrived at one of their events in a Twingo car. 

Lets hope that Shakira can put all the Gerard heartache behind her as she embarks on a new life in Miami with her sons. It will be interesting to see whether the couple have been able to reach an amicable agreement when it comes to when Gerard will be able to see his children.
